1 Day Workshop - Introduction to Heat Treatment Process: Quenching & Tempering

After completion of Day 3 of this 3-Day Introduction to Metallography and Investigations, including the Introduction to Heat Treatment Process, you will now acquire knowledge and experience which is transferrable to your workplaces.

This is an opportunity not to be missed to undertake metallography investigations in a dedicated Metallurgy Laboratory. You will investigate the role of various heat treatments processes on the composition of structured metal/alloy properties.

Both Days 2 and 3 relates to the previous days' investigations and progressively builds on your investigations coupled with knowledge you need to know at the heat treatment stage.

1 Day Workshop - Introduction to Heat Treatment: Anneal and Normalise

If you are new to heat treatment processes then Day, 2 will provide you with the basic steps to examine metal and alloys.

This is an opportunity not to be missed to undertake metallography investigations in a dedicated Metallurgy Laboratory.

1 Day Workshop - Introduction to Practical Metallography & Investigations

During this first day course (being a set of 3) you will understand the theory and practical elements of Introduction to Practical Metallography Investigation.

You will understand the purpose of analysing material microstructure and how to determine product reliability during the metallography investigations, including the role of hardness testing.

Practical Metallography, Metallurgy 2-Day course at the Metallurgy Laboratory at the University of Wolverhampton, Metallurgical Investigation Technique, MIT

2-Day Workshop - Metallurgical Investigation Technique (CPD)

Limited Availability

This Workshop is part of a suite of online web-training and Workshops centred around Metallography and provides an excellent "hands-on" experience with practical sessions.

This unique opportunity will enhance your metallurgical knowledge to apply practical skills working with
metals and alloys, enhancing your ability to analyse and demonstrate your application of Metallography.

3 Day Workshop (or Single Days Option) - Introduction to Practical Metallography Including Heat Treatment Process

If you are new to metallography investigations, then Days 1 , 2 and 3 course will provide you with the basic steps to examine metal and alloys. You can attend as a 3 day course, or alternatively can attend one day at a time in the order as stated.

This is an opportunity not to be missed to undertake metallography investigations in a dedicated Metallurgy Laboratory.

Day 3 will build on the previous days' investigations with Quenching and Tempering; Day 2 investigates heat treatment which complements the Day 1 course. You will investigate the role of various heat treatments on the composition of structured metal/alloy properties.

Practical Metallography, Metallurgy 4-Day course at the Metallurgy Laboratory at the University of Wolverhampton, Metallurgical Investigation Technique, MIT

4-Day Metallurgical Investigation Technique Workshop (CPD)

Limited Availability

The first 2 days will be covered during the 2-day workshop. On Days 3 and 4, you will get the opportunity to investigate your own sample material to evaluate and analyse their failure of the end product.
